When visiting my childhood room this January, I found a golden picture in a time capsule I had prepared in 2006 for my future self.

This is the picture of a small painting by Bahri Genç made in Kadıköy, Istanbul, at Simurg Art Atelier on March 29, 2006. He had found my crazy hair inspirational and asked me to be his model for this sketch!

I was in 11th grade and was drafting a short story that I cannot recall now for Mr. Andrew’s Creative Writing class at my beloved high school Uskudar American Academy.
